Highlights from a recent interview with our producer / engineer:

Q. Where do you come from?

Well, being a professional musician for over 20 years, I guess I come from the same place as the people I work for, countless gigs and studio sessions and although music taste might change from person to person the underlying drive to create the best record or put on the best show is inherent in all of us.

Q. Production or Engineering?

They go hand in hand, hearing your production sparkle after a good mix session is awesome and when the artist walks away happy and gets thousands of plays on MySpace there is no better reward.

Q. How do you approach each session?

No two sessions are ever the same, its all about the artist, if they come with definite ideas of what they are trying to achieve thats great, but if not, thats great also, we are here to help and guide them towards making a killer recording.

Q. What are your favorite studio tools?

That's a no brainer, The Focusrite Liquid Mix, it's got fantastic EQ and Compressor emulations from SSL, Neve, API, Pultec and more and it just sounds great. Also the RME pre-amps are extremely clean and transparent and get everything from the microphones and ultimately the instruments.

Q. What inspires you?

Wow, How long have you got? I would have to say a great song, no matter what genre its from, a great song is a great song.
